Contactless deliveries to your home

Do you need to order items to be delivered to your home but are having to self-isolate? You may worry about how you are going to be able to sign for your parcel or how you are going to be able to ensure that you get your item on time. Most delivery companies have got procedures in place to help deal with these sorts of situations and they are able to offer contactless delivery. If you have a safe place that they can leave the parcel than you can often advise them before hand. Couriers such as DPD allow you to track your parcel and give instructions as to what they should do with it such as leave in porch or deliver to neighbour.

If the item you ordered needs to be signed for then you may be able to sign a piece of paper which they can take a photo of. If it is age restricted then you can possibly show them your ID through the window. If you do not have a porch or anyway safe for the parcel to be left and you are not going to be in then it is best to see if it can be left with a neighbour or if you can pick it up from a collection point.
